The Harvest Home Farm skating rink is now open for the season. After running
the garden hose for 36 hours in previous years, I decided I had to change my
flooding method. Last week a generous friend brought out a fire truck to tackle
the job. 12,000 gallons of water later and 3 days of below zero temperatures
and we are finally ready to go. This year we even have lights so we can extend
the rink hours.
Rolling out the plastic liner after framing out the pavilion.
12,000 gallons of water.
Smooth ice.
First time skater!
The whole team.
