Sermon on the Mount with Lew Sterrett was a huge success, way beyond
our expectations! God gave us gorgeous weather both evenings. Two hundred
and twenty people from our community including almost all of our neighbors
came on Tuesday. Then over 250 people joined us on Wednesday.
On Tuesday Lew worked with a 3 year old stallion named Iceman who had
very little training and had never been ridden. He shared with Scripture how
the horse was natural, self reliant and only living for himself, unapproachable,
staying out on the rail of the round pen, keeping his back to Lew. By the
end of the evening, right before our eyes, Iceman chose a relationship of trust
with Lew, allowing him to saddle and ride him around the arena! I will never
forget the powerful impact of the Gospel illustrated in the relationship between
Iceman and Lew.
The second evening Lew used an older bay mare with bad habits and an
even worse attitude to contrast the relationship he has with his stallion,
Spotlight. It was a beautiful illustration of completely yielding our lives
to our Master.
Our local cable TV station videotaped both presentations and will air them
throughout our county over the next month. Lew and Bob and Michelle were
such an encouragement to the ministry of Harvest Home Farm and to our family
personally. We are grateful for the opportunity to partner in ministry with them.
Wow! That’s amazing! What a incredible opportunity for the community, HHF and for your family. I’m proud of your guys and wishing I was there to see it happen:)
