Minnesota Association of Christian Home Educators
Larry Guthrie was the keynote speaker at the annual MACHE conference
held in Duluth this weekend. Harvest Home Farm had the opportunity to
have a booth in the exhibit hall. We’ve been working on the display and
the materials all winter and it was exciting to see it all finally come together.
Jake, Leah, Roger, Khalia and Madeline all came to lend a hand at the table.
Larry had the opportunity to speak to approx 3,000 people during the work-
shops and key note sessions. We hope that this event was a great en-
couragement to the families who attended and an opportunity to share the
ministry with people throughout the Midwest.
General Session
Learning the cash register and the ipad for credit cards
A family watching the chicks we brought to add farm life to the display
Boys discovering needle felting
The weather in Duluth was stormy with high winds and snow
Very tired girls at the end of the day
My husband and I were one of many couples that sauntered by your booth here in Duluth. But it’s so much more than that..... difficult to harness the ministry that the Lord inspires in our lives to tables, chairs, etc. However, hearing about the farm and vision ignited our conversations Friday afternoon and rekindled a crazy notion that Christ had placed in us before. Then, we connected the dots with the farm to Larry Guthrie! (Our brain cells were overworked perhaps?) We hope to bring our family (us+3 younger kids) to vacation and take some classes sometime this green season at your guest house to observe life on the farm in reality--not just idealized.
Either way, thank you for sacrificing your time from your animals and home to share your hearts here at the conference. May the labor of your hands and hearts continue to be a blessing to others!
