Last weekend we hosted the First Baptist Church of Whitehall’s annual church
service, baptism and picnic. About 140 people gathered in the barn loft to worship
and share testimonies of God in their lives followed by three young people publicly
sharing their faith through baptism. Most of the families stayed to enjoy a picnic
lunch in the pavilion and about 50 adventurous ones went tubing bridge to bridge
down the creek. We love our local church and are privileged to partner in ministry
with them whenever we can.
Thanks guys, I just about lost it looknig for this.
Hi Mike! What a wonderful event...I love the “kiddie pools” that served as cold-food-keepers. BRILLIANT! We’ll have to remember that one
We have such fond memories of our time at HHF a couple years ago, and pray for an opportunity to visit again. Bryan, now 19.5, is just starting his final year at the community college. He’ll receive his AAS degree in Production Agriculture and Farm Management. He was hired this summer by the living history farm out here (where he’s volunteered for about 8 years) as part of the seasonal staff. It was also a college internship. He’s learned so much, it was really a super experience!
Once school is done, he’ll have much to learn about grass and pasture! And, of course, using dogs to help with the sheep! Perhaps our paths will cross for one of your events...it would sure be nice to spend some more time in the Granary Guesthouse! We praise the Lord with you for the many opportunities He has brought your way to minister in your community. HHF looks terrific in these photos you’ve shared, and I’m sure it sounds like a little slice of Heaven during those times of worship in the barn!
Many blessings,
Lori for the Havens Clan
