Bus Tours
This fall we had the opportunity to host two Trempealeau County Bus Tours,
one from Grand Rapids, MN and the other from Portage, WI. They came to
see the farm and watch a stock dog demonstration. We had gorgeous weather
for the first group but the morning of the second started off with snow followed
by heavy wind and rain. Becky and Madeline tried, but it was difficult to com-
municate with each other and the dogs with all the wind and the noise from the
bus. As the bus was leaving, it got stuck on the slick lawn and I wound up hav-
ing to pull it out of the yard with the Farmall tractor! In spite of the bad weather,
sub par demonstration and almost getting stranded, the people still gave their
visit an average score of 9.5 out of 10!
