AWOL – A Work Of Love
Last year the First Baptist Church of Whitehall’s youth group traveled to West
Virginia to partner with World Vision, working on repairing homes in Appalachia.
This year they journeyed all the way here to Harvest Home Farm to serve their
local community instead. Eighteen teenagers and four adults spent five evenings
playing, worshipping and camping here together while they spent their days work-
ing hard, serving their neighbors. The projects ranged from making firewood, gar-
dening and painting to building, refinishing, cleaning and even… washing cows.
It was truly a privilege to serve their group and see young people making a differ-
ence in their world for Jesus.
