Our dear friend, Becky Carpenter, came to visit this summer and blessed us
with her amazing photography talent. Her Brown Street Studios is in Rhine-
lander, WI. Here are a few of the pictures she captured of the farm…
Last weekend we packed up and headed to Galesville for the County Fair.
The kids got to display their projects, share their knowledge and skills with
the judges, experience the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat and drink
enough FFA milkshakes to last the rest of the summer. Here are some of
the highlights…
Megan and Ridge got the high point obedience score and Madeline and
Pedro got a passing score for pre-novice which is not too bad for an Irish-born,
Scottish-trained, blue-eyed stock dog who only went to class twice!
Llama performance.
Llama showmanship.
Llama games - extreme egg and spoon race.
Ella was reserve champion cat. We hope it doesn’t go to her head.
When we said goodbye to Reilly in February we knew we couldn’t go very
long without a labrador. Last Wednesday we brought home 7 week old, Lew.
He’s a sharp dog already and gets cuter every day.
The kids are raising their first litter of English Lop kits.
They are four weeks old now and getting cuter every day!
We were thrilled to welcome back Lew Sterret and Sermon on the Mount.
Despite record breaking temperatures, God brought us a beautiful breeze
and two lovely evenings for the programs. A cold front even moved in at
the end of the last evening to cool everyone down. Lew and the horses
dramatically illustrated the Gospel and spiritual principles, challenging and
encouraging us in our relationship with God.
