John and Diane Windle and the Puppet Gang returned for their third annual
Memorial Day concert in the barn loft. Their music, humor and stories always
encourage, challenge and entertain us straight from God’s Word. Families
had the opportunity to see Diane brush Hairy’s hair, sing scripture and hear
the Gospel.
Our stock trailer is looking good thanks to a friend’s generosity and her
Sillouette die cutter. She made a decal of our logo to put on the side
and we even got it on straight without any creases.
Thanks, April!
This morning we had our first Wrangler’s Breakfast of the season. A big
thanks to the work day crew for setting up the base for the griddles. Thirty
college students went through 9 dozen eggs, 15 pounds of hash browns, 3
pounds of butter, and 6 loaves of bread. I can still smell the smoke on my
clothes. It was delicious…
We kicked off our spring farm school sessions yesterday in the midst of a
thunder storm. The teachers and kids were troopers and enjoyed their visit
to the farm in spite of the weather. The kids learned about llamas, lambs,
chicks and eggs. Puzzle made his farm school debut and did a great job
interacting with the students.
Learning how to dock tails and tag ears.
Showing off their ear tags.
Checking out the inside of an egg.
Ella, the siamese kitten, was a bit hit.
Glow, watching the class and humming for the kids.

Larry Guthrie was the keynote speaker at the annual MACHE conference
held in Duluth this weekend. Harvest Home Farm had the opportunity to
have a booth in the exhibit hall. We’ve been working on the display and
the materials all winter and it was exciting to see it all finally come together.
Jake, Leah, Roger, Khalia and Madeline all came to lend a hand at the table.
Larry had the opportunity to speak to approx 3,000 people during the work-
shops and key note sessions. We hope that this event was a great en-
couragement to the families who attended and an opportunity to share the
ministry with people throughout the Midwest.
