Last Saturday we had the privilege of hosting an engagement party for Jamie and
his fiance, Lisa. They are both missionaries with Wycliffe and serve overseas.
Their wedding is out west but they have many friends and family who came to
celebrate with them here in the midwest.
Enjoying the farm.
Congratulations Jamie and Lisa!
On July 20 and 21, we were privileged to welcome back Lew Sterrett and
Sermon on the Mount. We estimate that 550 people attended the programs
over the two evenings. Our local cable TV station came out to video tape
the event again since it became their most requested program last year.
The first evening Lew broke a young horse named Mr. Buck using his stallion,
Spark. It was a powerful illustration of mentoring as Lew directed Spark with-
out a bridle. Mr. Buck resisted, but Spark was able to reach his “heart” and
Ryan was ultimately able to ride him around the arena.
Lew and Spark.
A living illustration of authority that I will never forget.
Riding Mr. Buck for the first time.

We didn’t realize that we were dressed exactly alike…
Thank you for your ministry to our community, Harvest Home Farm and our family!
Josh Calhoun performed a concert in the pavilion last Saturday. His guitar
picking, folk songs and sense of humor made the evening so enjoyable as
the sun went down over the ridge.

Jalepenos at Wrangler’s Breakfast - don’t cut yourself!
On Saturday we hosted a family reunion honoring a couple’s 40th wedding
anniversary. It was a beautiful day! We felt very privileged to share their joy
as each of their children gave a heartfelt tribute to their parents and to God.
Their celebration included our first Wrangler’s Breakfast of the summer. Double
griddles this year!
Learning the art of cooking hashbrowns.
Renewing their vows.
Worshiping together.
A song of thanks.
Three generations.
Cutting the anniversary cake.
We had the joy of witnessing Jason and Marcy share their marriage vows last
Sunday, June 21. It was a beautiful day. The ceremony was held in the pavilion.
The bride rode up in a carriage pulled by Percheron draft horses. Mike led the
singing and accompanied the special music. The reception was held in the barn
loft, creatively decorated with a Tiki bar serving smoothies and a delicious
chocolate fountain. We praise God for the start of a brand new family.
We rejoice with you Jason and Marcy!
