On May 14, we hosted a group of 40 fathers and sons from the Alert Cadet
program. They picked up right where the Work Day crews left off, helping
with the garden, firewood and starting the siding and tin on the maintenance
building. The fathers and sons took time to play, rest, and study God’s Word
together.
Yesterday we packed up two of the alpacas and took them to the mini farm at
Camp Forest Springs for the summer. We pray that they will be a blessing to
the campers, reflecting the amazing creativity and diversity of their Creator.
Two of our angus cows delivered on Monday. The heifer that delivered was
actually born here on the Labor Day of our first year of ministry. The calves
are doing very well.
Two bee hives were generously donated to the ministry last week. We look
forward to learning and sharing more about these fascinating creatures and
enjoying the honey they produce. We’ve already seen them covering the
blossoming trees.
