With the help of Ron, Jake, Leah and Beaner, we finished off the roof this week,
even caulking all the old screw holes so it will actually shed water. This is as
far as we can get this fall. I hope to get the siding up this spring.
Here are a few more pictures of the rebuilding progress. The first sheets of tin
went up today.
The shearer just came last week. The gorgeous November weather was a
huge blessing to our now naked sheep. Becky has been working on wash-
ing the fiber so we can process it into yarn over the winter. We also have
our first HHF hats for sale, knitted with yarn from our own flock.
The pre-soak followed by two washes and three rinses in the old washing machine.
Laying in the sun to dry.
Llama Lamb’s fleece.
Clean fiber!
The porch of the farm house was starting to show a lot of wear. Earlier in the
summer a friend gave us an extra gallon of deck stain so Becky decided to
get it on before winter. Here are the before and after shots. Thanks Kristi!
With the help of volunteers, I started rebuilding the pole shed that we disassem-
bled last spring in Eau Claire. I hope to get it up before winter so we can get our
equipment under shelter. These are some pictures of the first stages. I’ll keep
posting as we make progress.
